‘ Scrum ‘ Meaning – term from Rugby game which basically means to come close and work together in a tight formation. From project management perspective, it is a popular agile framework.

3 Pillars of Scrum:

—Transparency – The progress and goals should be visible to all stakeholders including the users, sponsors and teams. This especially helps in building trust.

—Inspection – Checking progress regularly to detect any undesirable changes or delays. This helps in catching and fixing impediments well in time.

—Adaptation – Adjusting regularly to minimise further issues or iterations.

5 Values of Scrum:

—Commitment – To deliver as per the mission/vision by providing full support to eliminate roadblocks or difficulties.

—Courage – Having the courage to face the challenges / accepting the mistakes to move past through them.

—Focus – Aligned with the goal, with complete focus on delivering as per plan and minimising distractions .

—Openness – Being transparent about progress and open to feedbacks.

—Respect -Team members should respect each other’s opinions and skills. This is crucial for making any project or business successful.

3 Roles of Scrum Teams:

—Scrum Master – Ensures the things are delivered fast and scrum guidelines are followed

—Product Owner – Ensures the right thing is being built. He brings customer perspective within the team.

—Development Team – Ensures that they build the thing right.
